This artwork sets out and tracks some contradictory impulses that are tied to intimacy through a metaphorical night. The displayed images flash and highlight the diverse facets, identities, and conflicting desires and needs of an individual in an unreal and dark realm: our world. A contrast is subsequently exposed, between a longing for romantic, love and sex on the one hand, and a (justified) fear of closeness and commitment that induces to sever inter-human bonds on the other hand. Thus, a certain wariness, uncertainty and tiredness remains even when the sun temporary rises and shines upon us.
